For a postgraduate students, writing a proposal might be the first task they need to produce prior to conducting their research. How do you know that your proposal is good enough to be approved by your supervisor, or the committee members? How do find a title for your proposal? What makes your proposal complies to a PhD level? How depth and breath should your LR be? Is it important to claim your epistimological considerations? What kind of instrument should you use for collecting your data? Is there any basis for that? Those are among critical questions that need to be considered when you are writing a researh proposal. Alhamdulillah, I had a chance to conduct a sharing session with some of the IIUM postgraduate students few days ago. Thanks to my fellow friend - Dr Faizah from The Kuliyyah of Educatoin - who invited me to see her supervisees. It was a fruitful session I must say, that everybody was taking part in the conversation. Thanks to all of you and I wish everybody the best of luck in your research journey. Remember, PhD is not about a competition wiith others, but it is a competition with YOURSELF! You don't write because you want to say something; you write because you've got something to say (Fitzgerald, F. S)
