InsyaAllah sebagai sokongan berterusan kepada para pelajar pascasiswazah di bawah penyeliaan saya, satu bengkel penulisan akan diadakan minggu hadapan. Objektif bengkel pada kali ini adalah untuk membantu setiap pelajar untuk menyiapkan satu artikel secara sistematik serta menepati ciri-ciri artikel yang boleh diterbitkan dalam jurnal berindeks. Kemahiran penulisan akademik akan ditekankan di samping format umum yang perlu ada pada sesebuah artikel.
Semoga usaha kecil ini memberi makna dan pengalaman yang berkesan kepada semua pelajar di bawah seliaan saya. Mudah2an kita dikurniakan ilham mencurah-curah kelak ..ameen..
Writing up an article is actually associated with the skills that come through experience. I had faced two different situations within this month. The first one was when I received an email from a journal saying that the paper that my post graduate student and I wrote had been accepted as is. Not only my student was jumping but I found myself flattered too! A week later, another email reached my mailbox - a rejection from a journal and the reason was that the article we (my another post graduate student) sent was not in line with the scope of the journal. I sent her a message about the rejection, without knowing that it was her birthday that day! Not a good time to share that kind of news I guess! I calmed her down and convinced her that rejection is normal! Even a professor had once told me that his paper had been rejected many times - even after he got his professorship! So do not worry much of the rejection when you write. However, there is certain accepted format that should be followed when you want to send your article to journals out there. Check this out:
