ASSOC. PROF. DR. FARIZA KHALID

Fariza binti Khalid is an associate professor at the Faculty of Education, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She received her PhD from The University of Nottingham in Instructional Technology. Her research interests are e-learning, online communities of practice, and emerging technologies for educational purposes. She is also a life member of the Qualitative Research Association of Malaysia (QRAM). She believes that to become a good educator, one must undergo continuous learning and be able to examine their practice reflectively and reflexively. As a researcher in the area of Instructional Technology, she is passionate about exploring the potential of integrating new technologies into teaching and learning. To share her innovative research in instructional technology, she actively participates in research exhibitions at international and national levels. To date, she has won more than 50 awards. She recently received the Best Educator Award for 2018 from the university.  
Regarding publications, Fariza has been a reviewer for various journals, most of which are international journals. She is one of the editors of The Journal of Personalized Learning and the International Journal of Education & Training (InjET). She is an Associate Editor for Journal of Information Technology Education: Research (JITE:Research)and  Journal of Information Technology Education: Innovations in Practice (JITE:IIP). She actively gives training on e-learning and emerging technologies for educational purposes inside and outside of UKM. ​​
