Inter-varsity Postgraduate Symposium

Wah! This is something that I have never imagined to happen! Thanks to my super-duper multitasker sifu, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Faizah Idrus from Kulliyyah of Education IIUM for this exciting event!

Insha-Allah, all of us will bring our supervisees to present their research proposal or progress. Through this session, we will provide our constructive comments. I am super excited to see what we - all of us could learn from each other. 

Indeed, supervising students may not be easy as the skills are not obtained from reading books or articles. Most of us learn the skills through our own experience. I personally think that the way we were supervised had significantly contributed to our way of handling students! Learning from our own experience also taught us how to filter good and evil, or whether we should carry out the same approach or vice versa. Not to mention, apart from our Ph.D. years' experience with our beloved supervisors, we also learned a lot from our own students. Well, to err is human .. nobody is perfect, to begin with. But suppose you are willing to learn from your mistakes, open enough to listen to what your supervisees have to say. In that case, I am pretty sure that we can grow and develop our skills as supervisors wonderfully.
