Menerima kunjungan daripada INBIOSIS UKM - PM Dr Ain bersama Dr Halida untuk perbincangan lanjut berkaitan penawaran dua kursus micro-credential. Ini merupakan lanjutan daripada bengkel pembangunan dokumen Micro-credential yang telah diadakan di awal Ramadhan tempohari. 

Alhamdulillah usaha yang membuahkan hasil. InshaAllah UKMShape akan memberikan khidmat terbaik bagi memastikan penawaran kursus micro-credential UKM dapat dilaksanakan dengan jayanya :)

SoTL is not new to educators, but it is undeniable that some may not be familiar with the term. On that basis, I was invited to talk about SoTL and how to best conduct the approach in daily practice. 
My heartfelt thanks to the School of Distance Education, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), for the invitation. 

Yesterday was a long day. My schedule was packed with one agenda after another until almost 7pm. 

Anyway, Alhamdulillah, I managed to spend some time for a virtual visit as an External Examiner for three undergraduate programs in the Faculty of Management, Multimedia University (MMU). 

​I had a blast and a wonderful time during the whole session. I also enjoyed warm hospitality from everybody, especially Dr. J - The Head of ODL Program, whom I had been keeping in touch with all this while :) and yes, Nadira, who sent me lunch via FoodPanda. I wonder how did she know that I love Nando's so much .. Hehe!

The overall presentations were a pleasure to listen to - this covered an overview of the Faculty by Dr. Fairuz, the dean, and the presentation by Ms. Asnur - the programs coordinator. Claps!! 

Although I had been to MMU maybe a hundred times or more (as parent lah ..) I had a limited number of acquaintances among the lecturers at MMU. So I take this as an opportunity to expand my academic circle. The interview or a chitchat session with three other lecturers teaching the programs was satisfying. I had a chance to listen to their stories as ODL lecturers. My overall conclusion from our communication is that - experience really develops who they are. Flexibility is vitally needed when dealing with ODL students, as most of them are working adults. Deep in my heart, I wish that our ODL lecturers in UKM will also embrace the philosophy of ODL when they embark on the actual journey inshaAllah. 

Congratulations, FOM, for the comprehensive preparation for this session. Keep up the good work :)

Perjalanan nan panjang akhirnya tiba ke destinasi.
Fakulti Pendidikan bakal menerima kumpulan pelajar pertama untuk Sarjana Pendidikan dalam Teknologi Pendidikan di bawah program ODL.

Taklimat kepada pelajar baharu berlangsung di malam hari namun itu suatu norma biasa apabila melibatkan program secara Terbuka & Jarak Jauh. TIdak semua dapat menghadirkan diri ke sesi ini kerana faktor-faktor lain. Anyway, rakaman akan dibekalkan kepada semua oleh pihak sekretariat ODL. 

InshaAllah UKMShape akan sentiasa memastikan support system yang terbaik buat semua pelajar. 

Didoakan agar pengalaman bersama kami di program ODL akan memberikan makna tersendiri buat semua.
