Kelas eksekutif, adatnya memang begitu.
Kami bertemu dan berpisah. Bertemu lagi dan berpisah lagi. Namun apa pun, alhamdulillah selesai juga perjumpaan kali ke dua bersama anak-anak saya dari program Sumber & Teknologi Maklumat. Thanks everyone for your endless commitment throughout the days we were together. It was a moment to remember by everybody when we explored many new topics together - from Computational Thinking and Cyber Security to Digital Citizenship; from Open & Distance Learning to Virtual Reality. Shout out to Cikgu Anuar and friends for handling the demo session on how to effectively integrate CT into problem solving. I think everybody was having fun, gained more understanding about CT, particularly on how to actually choose appropriate elements in CT so as to be be able to solve issues effectively and efficiently. I believe that once we witness the benefits of CT, and know how to use it rigorously, nobody will leave it behind. Come on everyone, let's inculcate the CT skills among your students and let me know their experience! This must be fun to learn different stories from all of you! Thanks to other groups for your impressive presentations too! We learned how vulnerable a person can be when he/she goes online through Cyber Security group's presentation. That's why it is important for us to be aware of the threats when we are online. Please spread the awareness to all your acquaintances, friends and relatives. What citizenship? Digital Citizenship? How significant is the knowledge of this topic to us? Since it is not something that students will learn formally at school, how can we play our role to disseminate the knowledge and hence, help them to become ethical netizens? Open & Distance Learning might not be a new term for all of us. But, do you think our conception aligns with the actual philosophy of ODL? Does simply going online mean ODL? What difference does it make from remote learning? or e-learning? I do hope our discourse helped enlightened our insights of the notion of ODL! Virtual Reality is another interesting topic. It goes well with the discussion on the concept of AR. We know there are some aspects that differentiate between these two. But how do we dcide when is it appropriate to select VR over AR or vice versa? What kind of skills that can be enhanced through the use of VR in teaching & learning? I do hope this topic opened up our eyes about the beauty of technology which is there to be explored! I am contented with what we went through so far. Wishing you all the best class .. looking forward to reading your mini research report ! ^__^
