Alhamdulillah selesai satu lagi sesi lawatan penanda aras.
All the best UNIMAS :) #ODL #ODLUKM #Benchmarking

Recently, I took part in a five-week online course offered by the Commonwealth of Learning (COL) on Developing Micro-Credential Courses. It was such an enriching experience, and I couldn’t wait to share it with all of you. This course wasn’t just about learning theories; it was a hands-on, interactive journey that truly opened my eyes to what goes into creating effective micro-credential programs.
The best part? It wasn’t a solo endeavor. The course emphasized active discussions and collaborative work, so I got to connect with people from different backgrounds, sharing ideas and learning from one another. It felt like being part of a global think tank for educators! One of the highlights of the course was a practical task where we had to plan the development of a micro-credential. It was structured so well that it walked us through every step of the process. From mapping out learning outcomes to designing assessments, we had clear guidance from the instructors to ensure we were on the right track. These activities helped me understand the nitty-gritty of micro-credentialing, something I knew about in theory but hadn’t explored this deeply before. Looking back, I can confidently say that this course has been a game-changer for me. It gave me a clearer picture of how to approach micro-credentials, and more importantly, how to make them work in practical settings. I feel more equipped now to help my university design and offer micro-credentials that are meaningful and aligned with what learners and industries need. What’s next? I’m planning to share what I’ve learned with my colleagues and the wider academic community. I believe the insights and skills I’ve gained will not only benefit our students but also elevate the way we approach education in the micro-credential space. So, here’s to lifelong learning and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in education! Thanks Professor Michael Sankey, Dr Jon Mason & Alison Lockley for your insightful sharing throughout the course :) Yes, it was in July 2023.
I know - it was a late report, but what to do! Sometimes, I have no idea of what is going on during my days. Time passed by so fast that I couldn't get a leeway to update my very own website. Anyway, better late than never. The first thing I would say here - terima kasih banyak-banyak to mak tiri USM aka Prof Madya Azidah for having us to visit CADE! I knew by this time she was ready to move to KPT, but luckily for us, we had locked the date. Pheww.. We learned a lot from the sharing session by Dr. Jid, specifically on how USM spurred the spirit of MC among academic members. Wishing you all the best in BKA Dr Jid! #microcredential #UKM |
